Wendy Alane Wright Smith

My Fellow Community Members,

This page was created to inform the Sunland Tujunga Community about their Region 4 Rep.

My name is Wendy Alane Wright Smith and I am 1000% dedicated to serving my community that gives me and my family so much. I have been involved in community service throughout Sunland, Tujunga, Montrose, La Crescenta and La Canada for the past 10 years. I live in Tujunga and serve on the Sunland-Tujunga Neighborhood Council as Region 4 Representative. Region 4 runs covers the south side of Foothill Blvd from Tujunga Canyon to the 210 Freeway.

It's important to know about your community leaders and their character so I'll tell you a bit about me. I am honored to be a member of Kiwanis, The La Crescenta Woman’s Club, The Women’s Council of the USC-Verdugo Hills Hospital and The Historical Society of the Crescenta Valley. I serve as a volunteer teacher in the afterschool GATE program in La Canada Unified School District. I am the owner of WAW Entertainment Talent Management and my husband Jim Smith owns Plan -Spec Construction. We are members of La Crescenta Presbytarian Church. We are very involved, engaged and active in our beloved community and we love it! We have fostered children and are always sponsoring children with Feed The Children and Christian Children's Fund.

Currently, I serve on the STNC because we are always in need of community improvement, safety and community outreach to help increase the public's awareness of the Council and it's many wonderful services.

I believe a Neighborhood Council is an integral part of a community as we get to hear the needs of community members and ensure their points of view and needs are presented to the Greater City Of Los Angeles leadership. It is also the center of social activity, where people gather for fun community events, cultural and artistic activities, emergency information and networking. The Sunland-Tujunga Community, as well as the entire foothills, is wonderful place to live, work and play as you know. The people who live here are friendly and hard working and we love our mountains! I would like us all to get to know more of our wonderful neighbors and increase our community ties.

I am always looking for people to help, so if you know of someone in need, really....feel free to talk to me! If you have any questions or concerns you may contact me at: wendyalane1@yahoo.com or call (818) 203-6080.

I look forward to speaking with you!
